now performing in Chicago the home of the big O is like being on hallowed ground. I have expected oprah or even Tracy Morgan in oprah attire to rip down the aisle like she was winning an award on the scmemmies. the award would me for gail but if course she would accept the award on her behalf so she could talk about her latest sainthood project. the award would be for best lighting in an oprah series. you know those lesbians need awards too. but I degress:-)

kathy was awesome fun. from entertainment, politics, her mother, and backstage award shows antics it was hi fucking larious. I think I was seated in the wrong section though. all the cheap fags were four rows behind us. I dindnt even know there was a straight section at these shows. I mean ticketmaster should have a dn warning. next time I’m going with a gaggle if gays.

recently I got a linkedin.com invitation, which I denied. and ld like to say for the record, it’s not that I don’t know you. it’s that I don’t like you. certain legalities make it impossible for me to tell your future employers what I’ve seen about your performance or general attitude with customers. and it’s not that I don’t like giving good comments to employees that have done a less than colorful job. no really, it’s not that at all. state laws and general morals state that if you can’t say something nice then you shouldn’t say anything at all. that being said I do wish you luck as long as I don’t have to give you a recomendation or have to be professionally linked to you

my cousin died a few years ago on Halloween night. I left home at the age of 16 around the same time. my best friend from high school his birthday is on October 28th. he was the first person to get me. to not judge me.

So, Im at borders with my boyfriend. He jokingly said to me “I can spend a few hours at borders.” I was stultified. How can anyone spend 4 hours at borders ? I mean even if i take my laptop and work ill be bored in about two hours and need a change of scene. I look at a few ccna books grabbed what i needed and found him in looking at harry potter books. “See i shop like a man” i said.”I go in and get what i need and leave.” We stand in line get our books, and we are ready to leave the store when i see that the creator of sex and the city has a new book out. Oh cool I think ill buy one of these and then send it to my mom. Then i see a sign “Candace bushnell signing copies of her new book. I said to myself that must happen at some random night ill never get my book signed by her. Oh its today, oh i probably missed it no it happens in 5 minutes my boyfriend said. I bought three copies of the book.

I sent my boyfriend back to the hogwarts isle to occupy himself. Im sitting on a side couch looking at my nerdy books in the same bags as my new copies of One Fifth Avenue. I shuffled them into other bags so they wouldn’t rub off on each other. I got a book for my mom and my best friend and one for myself. I looked out over my makeshift area to see what type of people were showing up for a non publicicized book signing. A bunch of young women and some with thier mothers, and a few straight guys that looked lost or along for the ride i was the token fag. It was important that i compose myself. I had my shopping bags of clothes, check. A few books for her to sign, check. the newly released extended edition of sex and the city the movie, check. I had cologne on, check. Oh and I had my hot latin boyfriend in tow, check. I think i was ready to represent my culture.

In walked a tall leggy blonde bombshell. Wearing a beautiful tourquise stone necklace. Black dress that was form fitted to her perfect figure. Long lavish sexy blonde hair flowing as she smiled like she was in one of those herbal essence hair commercials. In the moment that she passed me I saw the essence of carrie bradshaw. Flirty at any age, radient smile, playful and even the gay guys can take notice. I said almost too loud “DAMN!”, she was hot and walking right in front of me i dropped everything and gave her the attention she deserved.

She Read from the first chapter of her new book like a pro and took some questions and answers. I had to ask a good question. She seemed like she was bored with the same questions she gets at every signing. Which character are you most like:Carrie. Are you proud of the movie:Yes. Whats your favorite book: the one im currently promoting, they are all like my babies. Some do well when you send them out on thier own like lipstick jungle which premiers its second season tongiht, and like sex and the city.

I asked her, “Who has made you starstruck?” Without missing a beat she said “Mary tyler moore,” she gave me that smile only reserved for people who have earned it. She seemed excited to answer a question out of the ordinary while still giving a peek into her life. “mary tyler moore plays wendy’s mother and in the first time we met her we read the script out loud and we were all like ‘that’s mary tyler moore.’ She was a pleasure and professional to work with.”

She talked about red carpet events, and how she relates to all the characters and is friends with the cast of sex and the city. as much as i want to tell you verbatim how funny this woman is, i dont want to give away all her secrets and one liners. She is one of the classiest women I have ever met. You should grab her newest book and give it a spin. My friend is a few chapters in and says it is great. I will have to start reading it next month as i prepare for my CCNA tests. It will go on my bookshelf permantly and will be a reminder of the evening i spent 4 hours at borders.
